You've seen our previous headlines:
Homes are selling very quickly so far in 2019 -- often in a matter of days, and sometimes in a matter of hours! In a fast-moving market like the one we're in now, it can seem like all the "good houses" are gone by the time you get around to seeing them.
Does that sound familiar?
Here's a tip to share with your real estate agent, or use in your own Tri-Cities MLS searches:
Have your agent show you houses that
- have been on the market for longer than 30 days, and
- are just above your price range
There may be nothing wrong with these houses; they simply may have been overpriced, and now, thirty days in, it's your opportunity to offer the sellers true market value for their house.
Since they haven't had an offer in a month and their coworker/neighbor/sister is telling them, "I just sold my house in two days!", they might be more apt to accept your offer, as they realize that they might not be getting the higher price after all!
Good luck as you look for a new home, and please do let us know if we can help in any way!
